STRIVE Program: Holiday Ornaments
Each ornament has been hand stamped by a student in the S.T.R.I.V.E program. While each ornament may not be a perfect execution, each ornament has served as an instrument to providing a mild/moderately disabled student with VITAL skills and training for successful transitioning into the community. We are PROUD to showcase and (under normal circumstances) work along side these amazing students. Grace your tree with a little extra love this year. If you would like to donated above the $10 we can accommodate that, however, we ask that you would speak with a member of Mercantile staff. **Note: If item is being shipped, ornament will be selected at random based on the variant selected.

Marion's S.T.R.I.V.E program serves High School Juniors/Seniors & Super Seniors with Mild to Moderate Disabilities from the Marion School District and Williamson County Special Education Services. The students receive specialized functional curriculum and training in Life, Social and Vocational Skills. The community based instruction program trains students in the afternoons at local community businesses, as well as, through a small business at the school, in order to learn vocational skills in various settings and specific skills that would be required at each job site.
Due to COVID, constraints have been placed on the students limiting them to ONE DAY a week and in class ONLY projects related to community businesses. The Christmas Ornament project will serve to substitute the Cats' Cookie Jar revenue, which is not allowed due to current restrictions. The Cats' Cookie Jar, typically, serves as the primary fundraising source for the program and provides a wide array of business skills necessary for successful functioning within the community.
